Brighter Journeys is very proud to be hosting our Annual Fundraiser at Mohegan Sun Pocono on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 6:30p.m. to 10:30p.m. We are a 501(c)3 charitable organization, 6 years in existence, focused on identifying the needs of individuals with special needs and their families. Brighter Journeys was formed by mothers of children with special needs who, through their experiences and struggles, identified the need for this organization in our community. One unique quality of Brighter Journeys is that we are not specific to one diagnosis. We provide items that are not covered by insurance and are out of financial reach of the families. We have granted over $70,000.00 in items to individuals and organizations; stairglides, wheelchair ramps, modified tricycles, sponsoring equine therapy sessions to name a few. These items are a necessity to the families to make life manageable and/or more enjoyable, but sadly, are not covered by insurance. We also hold the largest Egg Hunt in the area for over 1,000 children and adults with special needs, who enjoy this very special day in April. Please help our mission continue to flourish! Together we can provide help and comfort to the special needs community.
