Description

Join us for our next Wilkes-Barre Connect Spotlight Series virtual event on the topic of Entrepreneurship at the Chamber Annual Dinner, presented in partnership with the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The spotlight will include featured speaker Jennifer Ciarimboli, Founder & CEO of studio BE, and spotlight speakers Janiece Montes, CEO of Janieces Purse Collection, Co-owner at Social Le’Air, and Organizer and Hostess of NEPA’s 1st Annual Black Owned Business Expo and Amy Bezek, Vice President of the Board of Street Art Society of NEPA.
About Our Featured Speaker:
Suffering from burnout after nearly a decade in corporate sales, Jennifer Ciarimboli walked away from her career and her successes to transform her life.
She embarked on a journey of deep study, training with world-renowned experts in yoga, the teachings of the Buddha, spiritual inquiry, and mindfulness meditation, opening her heart and mind to a new way of serving the world.
Jennifer recognized that if she had access to mindfulness meditation years ago, she might have been better able to manage stress—and from this insight, studio BE was born.
studio BE specializes in well-being based on mindfulness and mindfulness-based practices—including meditation, psychological inquiry, body integration, breathwork, and other modalities.
The goal of the company is simple: to reduce suffering in the world by helping individuals cultivate their own inner-resources. When these practices are embraced wholeheartedly within organizational culture, it opens the door to unlimited potential for better connection, deeper trust, and renewed creativity.
About Our Spotlight Speakers:
A New York native, Janiece has called NEPA her home for almost 20 years. She founded the NEPA 1st Annual Black-Owned Business Expo in 2021 after noticing a void in the community where Black-and-brown businesses had the opportunity to showcase their business excellence while networking with one another. The Expo’s goal is to help these small businesses not only to survive, but to THRIVE, in this community. Event planning came out of nowhere for Janiece and started as a purse business in August 2020. She then participated at one small business pop-up shop in October 2020 and loved being with other entrepreneurs who were looking to grow their own businesses. In March 2021, Janiece held her first event as a vendor at the Viewmont Mall craft fair in Scranton. The positive support she received was overwhelming. She has since used her organization, event planning, and networking skills to grow her list of vendors from 46 to nearly 600 minority-owned businesses with exciting plans for future events. In her spare time, Janiece enjoys spending time with her kids, traveling, and finding great eats!
Photographer, artist, and positive energy infused Amy Bezek has been involved in the arts since childhood. After discovering photography as a child and developing a distinct passion for the art form, she began working professionally in 2004 for a corporate photography studio and traveled all over the county for photography. In 2014, she launched AB Photography, LLC and opened up her own studio. She is a passionate entrepreneur founding AB Photography, LLC and Love and Lights, LLC, an up-cycled wine bottle business that turns used wine bottles into lighted decor. Amy currently lives and photographs out of Edwardsville, Pennsylvania. Amy is available for commercial brand photography, commissioned portrait work and studio portraiture for families, individuals, and executives, to weddings, real estate photography, fine art, and more. In her spare time, Amy volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters, donates proceeds from photography mini sessions to local non-profits and shelters to build her local communities. Amy is an animal rights activist, an environmental activist and a vegetarian. She is also a huge fan of natural healing.
