JOB DESCRIPTION: Marketing Manager

PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION: 

The Kirby Marketing Manager role is to develop, implement, and manage the marketing and sales initiatives of the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, including but not limited to, achieving desired ticket sales and maintaining the Kirby Center’s status as a premier arts and entertainment venue in NEPA, as well as a dedicated community partner. 

 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO: 

  • Develop, maintain and execute strategic marketing plans related to all F.M. Kirby programming to reach targeted sales goals. Plans to include social media, broadcast and print advertising, e-blasts, and out of home 

  • Produce film series in collaboration with partners  

  • Produce and distribute Season Brochure and Broadway Playbill  

  • Obtain promotional materials from artists and coordinate paid media buying (advertising, search engine marketing/optimization, promoted social posts)  

  • Write and distribute press releases 

  • Develop and foster relationships within the community  

  • Analyze sales trends to insure effectiveness of marketing plans  

  • Manage internal social media team  

  • Direct website content updates  

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Position requires a four year degree in Marketing 

  • Minimum of three years marketing experience in the entertainment industry 

  • Experience coordinating both digital and traditional marketing projects, from social media and bulk email to advertising and print materials 

  • Strong knowledge of all current and trending social media digital platforms such as Tiktok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Spotify 

  • Experience analyzing sales data to measure/maximize marketing efforts  

  • Strong Copywriting and Editing skill-set 

  • Experience in Brochure Development 

  • Print and Broadcast Media Experience 

  • Creative Design Experience 

  • Ability to take direction from supervisors and be open to input from team members 

  • Ability to work under time constraints and complete assigned tasks/projects within assigned deadlines 

 

 

 

 

WORK CONDITIONS: 

  • Position requires a physical presence at the Kirby office location for the hours designated by the Supervisor (unless otherwise directed)
