(Intern)al Affairs - Meet Camaryn Lokuta
In my next “Meet the Intern” installment, I am introducing you to Camaryn Lokuta. Camaryn is the Connect intern at the THINK center, which is the Chamber’s multimedia center. We have weekly meetings with all of the interns, so Camaryn’s input and opinions on our projects have definitely helped us out. To learn more about her, keep reading!
Where do you go to school and what are you studying?
I study Marketing Management at Penn State University.
What is your intern position at the Chamber?
I’m the Point Marketing Intern at Wilkes Barre Connect.
What does a typical day at the Chamber look like for you?
I come in everyday at 10 am and answer my emails. Usually we have meetings with either one of our clients or a professional that is coming in to mentor us. This summer, we worked with a handful of clients to create marketing strategies for their companies. This includes constructing websites and other social media accounts. At least once a week, all of the interns get together to talk about what we’ve been doing and bounce ideas off of each other, which is fun.
What is your favorite part of this internship?
I love how I am able to meet new people daily and how no two days are ever the same. We are always learning and growing either through meetings or professionals that come to talk to us.
What are some of your other interests and hobbies?
I love exploring NEPA! I'm always on the lookout for new restaurants, events and attractions.
What are your goals for after graduation?
My goals after graduation would be to hopefully secure a job I love, but ultimately I would love to own my own business!
