(Intern)al Affairs - That's a Wrap

In these last two weeks as a Chamber intern, I kept myself pretty busy.

This past week, the Chamber held their annual Golf Tournament at the Wyoming Valley Country Club. My job at the event was to register all of the players and help set up the basket raffles and posters. It was a beautiful day and all of the golfers really seemed to be enjoying themselves. I got to meet a ton of new people and see even more of what goes on behind the scenes with these events. It was a pretty fun day. After that, I spent the rest of my time putting the finishing touches on my blog series. This series spanned the entirety of my internship and it’s something that I’m pretty proud of. I hope you guys found it interesting!

This internship has allowed me to meet some amazing people that I will forever be glad I have met. My fellow interns, Caitlin and Sarah, as well as Camaryn, Mike and Tim, are people that I will always have a connection with and I’m so glad to have met them. I have learned so much from their opinions, experiences and talent that I will take with me into the future.
My supervisor, Meghan has taught me a lot about Marketing and Communications. I was given a part in every big event they had and had an opportunity to create some of my own writing that the Chamber has decided to use. The rest of the staff in the Chamber were always there to lend a helping hand as well. I also worked closely with Ahmad and Ben and that allowed me to get a better understanding of both the events program and development program too.

As my time at the Chamber comes to an end, I can’t help but be thankful for all of the amazing people that I’ve met and the things I’ve learned. For all of my fellow students out there who are looking for an internship, apply for this one. Just do it.

This is Tyler signing off.
