Meet Our Chamber Ambassador Jessica Ives!

Meet Our Chamber Ambassador Jessica Ives!

We sat down virtually with our Chamber Ambassador Council member, Jessica Ives, Director of Case Management & Community Programs at Family Service Association of NEPA in this month's Chamber Ambassador Spotlight!

Read the full Q&A with Jess below to learn even more about her!

Q: What is your favorite thing about your job?

A: I am a Licensed Social Worker and Senior Director at FSA NEPA and my current role involves directly managing several of our case management programs in the agency. I also oversee our Telephone Crisis function at PA 211 Northeast / Helpline, a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week, crisis/information referral service. In addition, I manage our agency’s social media. I also focus on program and agency development, and other functions in the agency as well.

My favorite thing about my job at FSA is my dynamic roles. My day never looks like the day before. I wear multiple hats and it makes the day interesting!

But most importantly, my passion is helping people. Everything we do at FSA has a higher purpose- strengthening families and ultimately our community.

Q: What causes/organizations are you involved within the community?

A: Through the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce, I am involved in the Young Professionals Council and Chamber Ambassadors group. In the community, I am involved with the Rainbow Alliance Board of Directors as their Vice-Chair, the Dinners for Kids Board of Directors as their Secretary, the Dress for Success Luzerne County Board of Directors, and I volunteer with Fork Over Love.

Q: What is your favorite thing about the Wyoming Valley and how do you like to spend your spare time?

A: I cannot narrow it down to one thing. I love the Wyoming Valley for it all it has to offer- small businesses, beautiful scenery, and the people who want to do amazing things to help our community thrive and grow. I have grown up in the Wyoming Valley and have seen both the worst and best of our community- and I am so honored to be a part of helping our region grow as much as possible.

Q: Why did you choose to get involved in the Chamber Ambassador Council and what are you most looking forward to?

A: I really loved the concept of being an Ambassador. It really helps connect the Chamber with its new members and allows for continuous networking opportunities to help grow our region.

Q: What are you most looking forward to about being a part of the Council?

A: I am looking forward to meeting new professionals in our region who have the same goals of growing our community and helping our businesses connect with the Chamber!
