Meet Our New Director of Development and Outreach: Nino Cimino

Nino Cimino has joined our team as the new Director of Development and Outreach! In this new role, Nino will assist us in developing the Chamber’s fundraising activities, including giving campaigns, sponsorships, grant development, and government relations, and will help us to cultivate relationships with new and existing Chamber members and community members of the Greater Wyoming Valley.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Nino spent 5 ½ years as a Senior Development Manager with the American Cancer Society. There he managed the Coaches vs Cancer NEPA campaign, NEPA vs Cancer campaign, the Hazleton Telethon, and various fundraising events in Pennsylvania and New York. Before that, he was a substitute teacher at Riverside Jr/Sr High School and a statistician for the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

Nino graduated magna cum laude from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. During his undergrad, he double majored in secondary education and citizenship.

We asked Nino some fun questions to get to know him better, and so you can too!

Q: Why the Wyoming Valley? (What about the area made you want to live and work here?

A: To put it simply, the people and the history. Growing up in NEPA I learned quicky that this area is full of hard-working people just trying to do their best for their family and their community. Together we can once again make the Wyoming Valley a thriving center for innovation, advancement, and prosperity for everyone.
