Meet the 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient: Gerry O'Donnell

Gerry O’Donnell’s professional career is one of continued success and achievement through community service and business professionalism. His more than 40-year executive management career in the automotive industry is one of ongoing success and achievement. From his early days with the Subaru brand, to his time with Motorworld, and his associations with Alfa Romeo, Gerry has been an embodiment of business and community leadership. Through his long-time association with the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce and Chamber of Business & Industry, Gerry has served as a member on numerous committees, as well as Chair of the Chamber of Commerce Board, and has even acted as an interim CEO of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber. He works to make the area better for businesses, local colleges and universities, and for community non-profits. He serves on the Advisory Board for the King’s College William G. McGowan School of Business, and serves as a Board Member for Keystone College, the LCCC Foundation Board, and the Family Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania Board. He has improved the quality of life around Wilkes-Barre by formerly serving with the St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen, Children’s Service Center, Junior Achievement of Northeastern Pennsylvania, the Board of American Diabetes Association, the Catherine McAuely Center, the Gesinger/TCMC Institute for Healthy Communities Advisory Board, and the Osterhout Free Library. A devoted, husband, father, and grandfather, Gerry currently resides in Shavertown with his wife of forty-seven years, Barbara, who he lovingly refers to as his “roommate.”
