Meet the 2021 Category Finalist for the Young Professional Voluntary Leader of the Year!

Robert Bresnahan Jr., Chief Executive Officer at Kuharchik Construction Inc.

Robert Bresnahan, Jr. is a lifelong Northeastern Pennsylvania native. He attended Wyoming Seminary Preparatory School in Kingston before continuing his education at the University of Scranton where he obtained a BS in Business Administration. Following graduation, Bresnahan assumed the role of Chief Executive Offer at Kuharchik Construction Inc. – Exeter, a third-generation family business focusing on heavy highway electrical construction. Rob has selflessly dedicated his personal and corporate financial resources, time, and energy to enhance the lives of Luzerne Counties charitable organizations. Under his direction, his corporate entities have donated generously to various nonprofit organizations all focusing on making a positive difference in the community. He has continued to carry his family’s legacy with honor, constantly looking to broaden the company’s capabilities, serve clients with the utmost level of expertise, and uphold philanthropic missions within the Wyoming Valley.

Rachael Stark, Northeast Program Coordinator for the Pennsylvania Environmental Council

Rachel credits her mom for teaching her about the importance of volunteering from an early age and offering leadership to several youth organizations she was involved in. Rachel says that it means so much to be able to give back to the community that raised her and she cherishes the relationships she has made through her involvement.

Nicholas Wilson, Corrections Counselor at PA Department of Corrections

As he became a recent father, Nicholas realized that family is the most important thing in life. Everyday he ties to set a good example for his daughter so she can grow up and have strong values. He has been a volunteer and a civil servant his whole adult life. He currently works in a state prison as a counselor on a mental health unit, which challenges him every day. He says that these challenges help make him a stronger person and role model for his daughter.
