Jennifer Brennan, Senior Director of Child Care Operations at the Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA

Jen Brennan has been working for the YMCA, as an organization, since 2004. She grew up on Long Island, NY, where she worked for the YMCA of LI, prior to taking the job at the Child Care Director here in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She has a 3 year old daughter and currently lives in Forty Fort, PA. She is proud of how much growth she has experienced personally and professionally working for what is now the Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA, and now, as the Senior Director of Child Care Operations, she looks forward to continuing to serve our community in the future.

Susan Augello Kuhl, First Grade Teacher for the Wilkes-Barre Area School District

Susan Augello Kuhl is an educator with the Wilkes-Barre Area School District, where she has taught first grade for 16 years at Dr. Kistler Elementary. She loves to bring her love for Disney to her gifted and advanced students through Disney-themed lessons, innovative hands-on STEM activities, and a colorful, welcoming learning environment. Susan is a strong advocate for public education and her profession through her roles in the Pennsylvania State Education Association (PSEA) and the Wilkes- Barre Area Education Association. She currently holds the following elected positions: Northeastern Region Political Action Chair for Education, President of the Northeastern Region Luzerne County Council IV, and Executive Board member of Wilkes-Barre Area Education Association. Throughout the pandemic, Susan shared her love for reading through weekly recorded read aloud on the WVIA Education Facebook page. When not teaching or advocating, Susan loves to support local restaurants with her husband, Nate, attend fundraisers for local charities, and attend yoga classes.

Genelle Sedon, Owner & Director of C & G Tutoring and Wilkes-Barre Area ESL Program Specialist

Genelle Sedon is the Owner and Director of C & G Tutoring, and an English as a Second Language Program Specialist for the Wilkes-Barre Area School District. She is also a bilingual educator. Genelle and her husband, Chris, have two children, Colette, 6, and Garrison, 4. They also have two rescue dogs.
