Meet the 2021 Category Finalists for Young Professional NEPA Influencer of the Year!

Christopher Bohinski, Host, Reporter, & Producer at WBRE’s PA Live!

Chris strives to treat those around him with kindness and compassion and has a daily goal of making people smile. After graduating with degrees in both Chemistry and Music & Theater from Wheeling Jesuit University, Chris moved to New York City where he worked in the entertainment industry. When his mother was diagnosed with a recurrence of cancer shortly after his father passed away, Chris moved back home to Wilkes-Barre to serve as her primary caregiver up until the time of her passing. Chris’s mission to spread happiness, positivity, and joy led to the creation of his smile mission, SmileStory®, which includes a video web series featuring celebrity interviews and also community-wide free festivals, one of which was recognized by President Barack Obama. Chris recently was honored as the 21st alumnus in his university’s 65-year history to receive the James A. O’Brien S.J. Award for his service to others. Chris was most recently nominated for an Emmy Award for his work as host and moderator of PA live!. Chris enjoys singing, birdwatching, daily journaling, photography, spending time with his family, eating yummy food, praying, and napping with his adopted cats Pollyanna & Gracie. Remember, there is always something to be glad about!

Justin M. Correll,  Mayor of Laurel Run Borough, Principal of Solomon-Plains Elementary in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District, and Co-Founder of the NEPA Pride Project

Justin M. Correll brings fresh and bright energy, passion, and professionalism to his work. He is currently serving his second term as Mayor of Laurel Run, is the proud Principal of Solomon Elementary School in the Wilkes-Barre Area School District and Co-Founder of the NEPA Pride Project. He also co-created the NEPA Pride Scholarship Program with the mission to support local high school seniors who are majoring in a college arts program. Finally, he currently serves as Vice-Chair on the Board of Directors for the NEPA Rainbow Alliance, member of the Brewsterhout Committee, Pauly Friedman 5K Run/Walk, GWVC Diversity Council, Co-founder of the NEPA GAYLA and more. In his spare time, he enjoys visiting and attending the gems of NEPA including restaurants, cultural performances and social fundraising events. Justin believes that the world is full of opportunities to embrace, experience and enhance our communities.

Lindsay Landis, Development Director at the Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA
A mother of two, Lindsay has worked as a staff member/volunteer for the YMCA for years. Lindsay resides in Drums with her husband Kyle, and two daughters, Averie and Jade. From a young age, her family instilled in her a passion for philanthropy and supporting those in need in our community. Today she is dedicated to strengthening Northeastern PA, and the children and families who call NEPA home.
