Meet the Category Finalists for the 2022 Young Professional Educator of the Year
Allison Ritsick, Director of Education and Programs & Regional Director for Building Blocks Learning Center
Allison values education and loves to see the impact that educational experiences have on children as they grow. She strives to inspire children to be lifelong learners and for adults to continue their educational growth by participating in opportunities that help them reach their full potential. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors in nature, camping or hiking. She also enjoys music and singing and spending time with her husband, family, and pets.
Chris Sedon, Computer Science Teacher at Abington Heights High School
Chris was born and raised in the Wyoming Valley, He is an educator of 14 years, most currently with the Abington Heights School District teaching AP Computer Science. He co-founded C & G tutoring with his wife Genelle in order to reach more students and help everyone from our area attain their academic goals. Chris loves to be with his family and take outdoor adventures.
Gabriella Tolerico, Elementary Music Teacher for Carbondale Area School District
Gabriella is an active musician and music teacher, and she feels incredibly lucky to be able to work in what she loves. She has a cat named Alfred, and just recently moved to downtown Scranton, where she frequents local shows and arts events. She loves what she does and is incredibly honored to be a finalist!
