Meet the Category Finalists for the 2024 Young Professionals Awards Voluntary Leader of the Year!
Autumn Bohner, Content & Digital Marketing Specialist at Maternal & Family Health Services (MFHS)
After growing up in a tiny town in central Pennsylvania, Autumn moved to NEPA after graduating from Marywood University in 2021. She followed her passion for design, telling stories and spending endless hours on Instagram to MFHS, where she currently works as Content & Digital Marketing Specialist. She also serves as the Vice President for the American Advertising Federation of NEPA.
Duane Elders, Board Member and Volunteer Liaison at NEPA Youth Shelter
Duane currently resides in Old Forge and is a graduate from Marywood University with a Bachelors in Communications and a Minor in Business, has a Masters in Organizational Management Leadership Development from Ashford University. He is a Resource Planning Manager at Cigna Health Insurance. He also serves on the marketing committee for the Rainbow Alliance. Duane has volunteered with the NEPA Youth Shelter for over a year, as he has wanted to be a positive role model to LGBTQIA+ youth and to help those in need. He now serves as a Board Member, as the Volunteer Liaison and fundraising chair. Duane was recently voted in as a Board of Director for the Marywood Alumni Association.
Kylie Montigney, Founder of Empower Girls
Kylie Montigney is a dynamic and multi-talented individual from Scranton, Pennsylvania, deeply involved in hosting, founding, blogging, public speaking, and advocacy work. Her journey into media and storytelling was inspired by her two cousins, who are news anchors at a local station in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Their passion for the stories they covered sparked Kylie's own pursuit of a career in media. In April 2021, Kylie launched her podcast, accessible on platforms like YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music. The show has featured over 300 guests, including notable figures such as Madison Watkins, Caitlin Wachs, Brianne Davis, Gilles Marini, and Gabrielle Stone. Kylie's strength as a host lies in her authenticity, particularly in discussing her experiences with anxiety and depression, which resonates with listeners and fuels her dedication to empowering others.
