Event and Design Experience with Maggie Zembruski of Dundee Gardens!
Shadow Maggie as she plans for Dundee’s busiest season of the year….SPRING! This two-hour experience includes the opportunity to work with their events team to execute a fun and interactive DIY event in their greenhouse!

This is your opportunity to think creatively and out of the box. Together you will plan the logistics, assist in designing a creative digital invitation and coordinate the outreach.

To top off the experience, you and a guest will be invited back as co-hosts of the event!

Historic Farm Experience with Suzanne Kapral, Director at The Lands at Hillside Farms!
Your Saturday experience will begin at 6 AM as you and Suzanne head to the new cow barn for morning milking, calf feeding, and barn-related chores. Then, it is off to the pastures where you will be greeted by 150 happy hens (and two bossy guard geese) as you gather buckets of fresh eggs. From there, it's off to the egg house to wash, prepare, and pack the morning's yield to be sold at the Dairy Store.

General (non-dairy) animal care comes next! You and Suzanne will tidy up (read, muck) the stalls of Hillside's beloved goats, donkeys, and sheep then feed each critter. You will also deliver farm-fresh vegetables to Hillside's pigs, Otis, Mercury, and Sunshine.

After a quick break, you and Suzanne will head down to historic Spring Brook, a private section of Hillside Farms, where you will learn about unique barns that pre-date the Civil War. Spring Brook is also where Hillside's friendly young heifers play and frolic throughout stunning and spacious pastures.

You and Suzanne will leave Spring Brook and head for a tour of Hillside Cottage! A picnic lunch will follow your tour, giving time to refresh and regroup before heading down to the farm's famous Lord and Burnham greenhouse. This spectacular structure was constructed between 1820 and 1870 and was fully restored in 2011. There are only a few of its kind in existence worldwide.

What is a day at Hillside Farms without a stop in the Dairy Store? You'll see how we make ice cream and process our exclusive Hillside Gold dairy products. Of course, an ice cream treat will be included!

Your farm experience wraps up around 3 PM.

But wait, there's more! Head back home to "defarm" (trust, you will smell like a farm) and freshen up. At 5:30 PM, meet Suzanne at The Westmoreland Club to talk about the day while enjoying a fabulous dinner of your choice.

To increase chances of optimal weather, this farm experience will take place in either June or early September.
