Meet the Top 3 2019 Young Professionals Awards Category Finalists for Voluntary Leader of the Year
Amber Loomis: Chief Advancement Officer at Family Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania
Amber Loomis is the Chief Advancement Officer at Family Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania, a non-profit organization right in the heart of Wilkes-Barre, whose mission is to provide diverse services to children, individuals, seniors, and families, empowering them to achieve their full potential. Prior to coming on board at Family Service in 2016, you may remember her face or voice from our local PBS and NPR station, WVIA, where she worked in the Membership Department for six years. She currently serves on the board of directors for Dress for Success Luzerne County, the NEPA Rainbow Alliance, the Association of Fundraising Professionals-NEPA Chapter, and I an active Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber Ambassador. Amber also serves on the Young Professionals committee as well as multiple committees for Leadership Wilkes-Barre. When Amber is not busy planning the next exciting fundraising event or volunteering her time at various community happenings, you can usually find her out and about with her friends.
Amy Feldman: Director of Development at Northeast Sight Services
Amy Feldman is the Director of Development for Northeast Sight Services and has spent over a decade in support community nonprofit organizations as both staff and in volunteer capacities. She is passionate about serving and giving back to the community in which she was born, raised and currently resides in. She lives in Shavertown with her husband, Drew, son, Camden, and dog, Willy.
Sabrina Hannon: Leader and Founder at NEPA NOW
Sabrina Hannon is a native of Northeastern PA. She earned her B.A. in English from Wilkes University and her M.A. in Women’s Studies at Southern Connecticut State University. After graduate school Sabrina founded and continues to lead NEPA NOW, Northeast PA’s only chapter of the National Organization for Women. Through her work with NEPA NOW, Sabrina has cultivated a sense of community through a passion for human rights and activism. In her professional life she is employed as a Volunteer Support Coordinator with the Girl Scouts in the Heart of PA.
