Meet this year's ATHENA Leadership Award recipient, Stacey Kile!
Stacey Kile believes leadership is measured by how many people you help rise along the way. As Operations Manager at Geisinger Health Plan, she leads with heart and purpose, bringing teams together across departments, finding better ways to get the work done, and making sure the people behind that work feel valued and supported. Colleagues know her as someone who asks thoughtful questions, follows through, and never stops looking for ways to better serve employer groups, community partners, members and patients, and the teams who support them.
Outside of work, Stacey’s commitment to Northeastern Pennsylvania runs deep. She gives her time, talent and leadership to Luzerne County Head Start, Leadership Northeast, the Osterhout Free Library, CASA of Wyoming Valley, SHINE, Fork Over Love, Coffee Inclusive ITEP Program, America250PA, North Branch Land Trust and the American Heart Association. Her commitment doesn’t stop there. Stacey supports countless other organizations and causes across the region; wherever she could help. Whether she is championing literacy, advocating for children in the court system, helping address food insecurity, or advancing inclusive community programming, Stacey shows up ready to roll up her sleeves, offering both strategic guidance and hands-on support.
For Stacey, service is personal. She steps in wherever there is a need, connects people who can do more together than apart, and stays committed long after the event is over. Her work strengthens collaboration across organizations and creates lasting change in the community she proudly calls home.
Mentoring is at the heart of who Stacey is. Whether she is guiding friends and family, encouraging colleagues at Geisinger, serving as a mentor in the Leadership Northeast Amplify Mentor Program, or simply making time for someone in the community who needs a sounding board, she is always looking for ways to strengthen and lift others. She is especially passionate about helping women recognize their own strengths, find their voice, and step confidently into leadership by opening doors, making introductions, and cheering them on every step of the way.
Her contributions have been recognized through numerous honors, including: 2026 STARS of the Valley Community Service Award, 2026 PA Inclusive Volunteer of the Year award, Luzerne County Head Start’s Outstanding Community Partner Award, Leadership Northeast’s Distinguished Leadership Alumni Award, the Luzerne Foundation’s Volunteer Community Champion Award, and the American Heart Association’s Woman of Impact Live Fierce Award, each reflecting her ability to turn compassion into meaningful, measurable change.
Through every role she holds, Stacey leads with authenticity, humility, and a servant’s heart. She believes that when one woman rises, she can bring others with her, and she lives that belief every day by putting people first, expanding opportunities, and helping build a stronger Greater Wyoming Valley for the next generation of leaders.
