Wilkes-Barre Connect Spotlight

Tuesday, February 27, 2024 (5:00 PM - 7:00 PM) (EST)

Description

Save the date for our next Wilkes-Barre Connect Spotlight! The Spotlight program features quarterly events that provide an opportunity for industry leaders and entrepreneurs in NEPA to meet, discuss and identify potential partnerships. Each event features a fifteen-minute presentation from an entrepreneur with regional ties, as well as shorter spotlights featuring local entrepreneurs, students, and non-profits. Spotlight is a Wilkes-Barre Connect program coordinated by the Diamond City Partnership and sponsored by Penn State Wilkes-Barre, through the Invent Penn State initiative.

Family-owned businesses have a tremendous impact on our communities in Northeastern Pennsylvania. In the first Spotlight event of 2024, we want to give some of our area’s brightest family business owners a platform to talk about their ongoing journey, sharing the challenges they have overcome, and lessons learned along the way.

Join us to hear from featured speaker Austin Shission, Co-Owner of Abide Coffeehouse, as well as spotlight speakers Al and Troy Everetts, Co-Founders of Mt. Everetts Frozen Creations; Danielle Mimms, Owner of The Bearded Ladies & Co. and Operating Manager of Big Ten Sub's & Pizza; Delia Ramos, General Manager for La Cantina Amigon; Lauren Sacco, Chief Operations Officer for Vito's Lawn Care & Landscaping Inc.!
