- Wilkes University invites applicants for a Senior Gifts Officer position in the Office of Advancement, which encompasses Development and Alumni & Constituent Engagement. The position reports to the Director of Development. This position will play a critical role in helping the Advancement team as part of the University's upcoming comprehensive campaign.
The successful candidate is responsible for managing a portfolio of 150+ prospects through in-person meetings, Zoom, events, and other personal correspondence. The candidate should be versed in fundraising, from major gifts to annual giving to planned giving. A bachelor's degree is required. The ideal candidate will have seven years of prior experience in sales or fundraising-related initiatives, preferably in a higher-ed setting. An understanding of estate planning is also preferred. This position requires extensive travel throughout the United States. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
