Foster Grandparent Program serves the Luzerne and Wyoming County school districts. Senior volunteers aged 55+ are placed in a school of their choice and placed in a classroom with a teacher. While in the classroom, volunteers assist students that might benefit from one on one assistance from the foster grandparent. Volunteers are given a small stipend for their services as long as the income guidelines are met.
