Authentic Jersey-Style Bagels Arrive in Plains Township with Toastee Bagels 

PLAINS TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Jan. 6, 2026) – Plains Township residents now have a new spot to enjoy authentic Jersey-style bagels for breakfast and lunch with the opening of Toastee Bagels at 1329 PA-315. 

Toastee Bagels owner Neil Patel invites the community to celebrate the grand opening on Friday, Jan. 9. The first 50 guests will receive a free bagel or breakfast sandwich. An official ribbon-cutting with the Greater Wyoming Valley Chamber of Commerce will take place at 10 a.m. 

“You can taste the quality in every bite of a Toastee bagel. Our bagels are hand-crafted and baked fresh throughout the day, said Neil. “They’re perfect for the morning rush, lunch, or a post-practice stop. We’re proud to give back to the town that feeds us by donating leftovers to local food banks and churches. 

Toastee Bagels’ authentic Jersey-style bagels are crafted from scratch-made dough that is proofed to perfection, then boiled and baked on cedar boards. The result is a perfectly crisp crust with a soft, chewy center that defines true Jersey-style bagels. The menu features 15 core bagel varieties along with rotating seasonal flavors. 

Guests can top their bagels with spreads like scallion cream cheese or Toastee butter made with cinnamon and honey. A house favorite is the everything bagel with plain cream cheese. 

The menu also includes breakfast sandwiches such as bacon, egg and cheese, along with pastries, hot coffee and espresso drinks. Lunch options feature fan favorites like the cold Italian or hot cheesesteak sandwiches, served on a bagel, wrap or hoagie roll, as well as salads. 

Toastee Bagels offers group options such as bagel boxes and “joe-to-go” as well as catering for breakfast or lunch, available for pickup or delivery within a 10-mile radius.

The Plains Township location is the first Toastee Bagels shop in Pennsylvania. Additional shops will open in Clarks Summit and Dallas later this year.
