The Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic opens its 2025–2026 Season, Presented by PNC, and the Dr. Seth W. & Carolyn Fisher Pops Series with Defying Gravity: Bewitching Broadway.
The Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic is ready to try defying gravity. For the Philharmonic’s 54th season, presented by longstanding sponsor and friend, PNC, the Philharmonic enters spooky season with a spine-tingling celebration of Broadway’s most magical, mysterious, and showstopping music. Defying Gravity: Bewitching Broadway takes the stage on Saturday, September 27th at 7:00PM at the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre, promising an unlimited evening of thrills.
This dazzling concert features selections from Phantom of the Opera, Wicked, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Sweeney Todd, Little Shop of Horrors, and more. Audiences will revel in the fiendish fun of witches, spirits, and phantoms brought to life with the power and grandeur of a full symphony orchestra.
The Philharmonic is also thrilled to welcome back audience favorites Scott Coulter and Spot-On Entertainment, whose vocalists captivated audiences last season in Simply the Best: A Tribute to Tina Turner. Together with the NEPA Philharmonic, they will deliver a Broadway experience that is equal parts haunting and electrifying.
The NEPA Philharmonic 2025-26 Season is presented by PNC; the Pops Series is presented by Dr. Seth W. & Carolyn Fisher; and the Defying Gravity: Bewitching Broadway concert is presented by the Passan Foundation. The Philharmonic expresses their immense gratitude to these generous sponsors who believe in the importance of live music in the NEPA region.
