Students at the Pittston New Street Center of Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. have new books to read, thanks to a generous donation from Chewy Pharmacy in Pittston.

Chewy employees collected 60 preschool books during their Read Across America Book Drive in March. The books were distributed to students in four classrooms at Pittston New Street.

Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. is an income-based early childhood education program that provides comprehensive services to expecting parents, children from birth to age 5, and their families in Luzerne and Wyoming counties. For more information, visit lcheadstart.org.
