PITTSTON – After more than a decade in downtown Wilkes-Barre, Coal Creative is starting its next chapter on Main Street in downtown Pittston.
For the creative marketing agency, the move signifies more than a change in address. The new location offers expanded office space alongside a dedicated, 1,000 sq. ft. production studio to support bigger ideas, new collaborations, and more creative work across the region.
Coal Creative is a full-service creative agency with an in-house team of videographers, designers, website developers, and content specialists.
The new studio will expand what Coal can offer its clients, allowing the team to take on more ambitious photo, video, and content production projects.
Photographers, videographers, podcasters, artists, businesses, and other creative entities will be able to use the studio for their own productions, shoots, and ideas. As the space develops, Coal sees opportunities for collaborations, events, original programming, and other creative projects throughout the region.
“We’ve wanted a studio like this for a while, so seeing it finally come together is really exciting,” said Gerard Durling, Coal Creative founder & chief creative officer. “Pittston has such a strong focus on the arts, and I can’t wait to see how other creatives throughout the region make use of the space. We’re already figuring out ways to get involved in the community through events like the Second Friday Art Walk.”
Coal Creative has called downtown Wilkes-Barre home for more than a decade. Its connection to the city runs deep, and while the agency’s headquarters will no longer be Downtown, Coal will continue to be involved in the community there.
At the same time, Pittston holds a special place in the hearts of Gerard and Camaryn Lokuta Bizik, Coal’s managing director, as both are Pittston natives and graduates of Pittston Area High School.
“Having a special connection to this community makes this move especially meaningful,” Lokuta Bizik noted. “I’ve always admired Pittston’s progress, and we’re proud to now be part of Pittston’s continued growth and revitalization. We look forward to joining the downtown community alongside the local businesses, entrepreneurs, and creatives who make this city such a special place to call home. We can’t wait to expand our roots here and be part of what’s next for Pittston.”
Over the next several weeks, Coal Creative will share updates on the studio build-out process, introduce more of what the studio will offer, and share details on how businesses and creatives throughout the region can use the space on its social media pages.
