Whitestone Companies Announces the Opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton Wilkes Barre

Wilkes Barre, PA - January 7, 2026 - Whitestone Capital, a division of Whitestone Companies, announced today the opening of the new DoubleTree by Hilton Wilkes Barre. Located at 600 Wildflower Drive in the heart of the Pocono Mountains, the former Holiday Inn underwent a yearlong transformation to become Hilton’s first Doubletree Hotel in Northeast Pennsylvania.

The property, situated halfway up East Mountain, is known for having the best views in the area where you can see for miles across the beautiful Wyoming Valley. As one of Hilton’s largest full-service brands, the Doubletree will introduce to the area a new warm contemporary style guestroom, reimagined food and beverage outlets, inspired banquet facilities, and a new fitness center. While the property boasts the largest indoor hotel pool in the region, it’s quiet wooded grounds with small, scattered relaxation locations help guests unwind after a long day.

Whitestone Companies has teamed up with Soartress Hospitality which will manage the DoubleTree by Hilton Wilkes Barre, overseeing its day-to-day operations.

The property is just minutes from the Mohegan Sun Arena, F.M Kirby Center, Pocono Racetrack, Mohegan Sun Casino and the Pocono Recreational Areas.
