Elite ABA Therapy Celebrates Grand Opening of Second Service Location with Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Expanding Quality Behavioral Health Services to Wilkes-Barre Twp, PA

Elite ABA Therapy is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its second service location in Wilkes-Barre Township, PA, marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate its three-year anniversary. The new location is in the Triangle Plaza at 679 Kidder Street, Ste. 8, Wilkes-Barre Township PA 18702. Founded on February 3, 2022, by Amanda Jones, MA, BCBA, Elite ABA Therapy has been dedicated to providing intensive behavioral health services to children diagnosed with Autism and other developmental delays using the evidence-based practices of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Although the company has only been operating for 3 years, the founder has been providing clinical services in the field for the past 16 years.

Since its inception in Miramar, FL, Elite ABA Therapy has been a home and community-based provider of ABA services in the south Florida area, making a significant impact on the lives of countless families. The recent expansion into Wilkes-Barre Township, PA, the hometown of the founder, was driven by the urgent need for ABA services in Luzerne County and the surrounding areas. Local behavioral health agencies and parents have reported waitlists exceeding one year, highlighting the necessity for additional resources and support. The Wilkes-Barre Township location offers a full-day intensive therapeutic program to children aged 3-6 who are not enrolled in school, and also an intensive afterschool program for school aged children from 3:30-4:30 pm. The program provides one-on-one therapeutic services in a small group format of up to 6 children, allowing for individualized intervention for deficits in communication, socialization, adaptive functioning, and maladaptive behaviors that result from these skill deficits. These services are insurance-funded (PA Medical Assistance) and come at no out-of-pocket cost to the families as long as insurance is active and maintained.

Amanda Jones, MA, BCBA, founder of Elite ABA Therapy, expressed her enthusiasm for the new location: "We are excited to bring our services to Wilkes-Barre and provide much-needed support to families in this community. Our goal is to ensure every child has access to quality behavioral health care and the opportunity to reach their full potential. Since our soft opening on 1/6/25, we have successfully enrolled 12 children into our program and created 15 employment opportunities. Enrollment has been an ongoing process and will continue until we reach our capacity of 25 children.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 4:00 pm at the new Elite ABA Therapy location, 679 Kidder Street, Ste 8, Wilkes-Barre Twp, PA 18702. This event will provide an opportunity for the community to learn more about the services offered and meet the dedicated team of professionals committed to making a difference in the lives of children. An open house will take place following the ribbon cutting ceremony from 4:00 to 6:00 pm.

Elite ABA Therapy invites all community members, local officials, and stakeholders to join in the celebration and support the mission to expand access to high-quality ABA services.
