Geisinger Health Plan announces Medicare Advantage plans for 2027
Medicare beneficiaries encouraged to review coverage options and select a plan that fits their needs by Dec. 7
DANVILLE, Pa. – As the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) kicks off, Geisinger Health Plan encourages those age 65 and older to review their current coverage and explore options to be sure they have the coverage that best meets their healthcare and prescription drug needs for the coming year.
AEP runs from Oct. 15 through Dec. 7. During this seven-week window, eligible seniors can evaluate and enroll in a Medicare Advantage plan for the upcoming year. Medicare Advantage plans help older adults fill healthcare gaps that traditional Medicare does not cover, such as vision, dental, and prescription benefits.
“The Annual Enrollment Period is an important time for Medicare beneficiaries to review their healthcare coverage and make informed decisions about the year ahead,” said Roger van Baaren, Geisinger Health Plan chief growth officer. “We’re committed to helping people understand their options and choose the best plan to fill any gaps they may have in their current coverage. People can live healthier lives when they have access to benefits that make managing their health easier and more affordable.”
Geisinger Health Plan offers a range of Medicare Advantage plans designed to provide comprehensive coverage. That includes access to more than 30,000 doctors, 180 hospitals and 3,000 pharmacies.
