Marywood Featuring Graduating Students’ Artwork in Exhibits through May 17

Scranton, PA (April 10, 2025) — The work of graduating art students will be featured in concurrent exibits at Marywood University from April 28 through May 17. An Opening Reception and Recognition Ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 3, 1-4 p.m., in the Shields Center for Visual Arts.

Featured exhibits include a Senior Art Exhibition of Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) and Bachelor of Arts (BA) students in the Mahady Gallery, as well as the work of BFA Honors Thesis and Master of Arts students in the Suraci Gallery. Both galleries are located in the Shields Center for Visual Arts, and the exhibits and the opening reception are free and open to the public.

The Senior Art Exhibition in the Mahady Gallery will feature the work of BFA students in the areas of graphic design, illustration, and photography, as well as BA students in the area of art therapy. The students whose work will be featured include:

  • Illustration: Brandon Bartley, Molly Driscoll, Julie Eggleston, Mila Elash, Nelly Martinez Jessica Nowakowski, Deanna Nutting, Kierre Osmon, Jessica Sunar, and Nicola Veniamin.
  • Graphic Design: Melissa Bostjancic, Phoebe Cheesman, Daniele Cragle, Emily Duris, Stephanie Klemick, Jillian Mooney, Julia Perpetua, Sabrina Resuta, Madeline Scott, Khayman Sember, and Molly Yatchyshyn.
  • Photography: Julie Potter.
  •  Art Therapy: Victoria Delgado, Emily Henry, Nyela Liverpool, and Madison Winn.

Two exhibits will be housed in the Suraci Gallery, including the work of Melissa Bostjancic and Stephanie Klemick, BFA Honors Thesis students, and Sister Fran Fasolka, IHM, Master of Arts in Studio Arts in Printmaking student.

The Mahady and Suraci Galleries are located in the Shields Center for Visual Arts on Marywood University’s campus, and operating hours for both galleries can be found on their respective websites at marywood.edu/galleries.
