Maternal and Family Health Services Hosts Annual Community Luncheon Honoring First Lady Shapiro and Second Lady Davis           

Pittston, PA – Maternal and Family Health Services hosted its annual Community Luncheon on Tuesday, October 29th at The Banks in Pittston, PA. The event honored Pennsylvania First Lady Lori Shapiro and Second Lady Blayre Davis with the 2024 Outstanding Public Service Award.

The Outstanding Public Service Award is presented annually by MFHS to a champion for women, children and families who works in public service to advocate for programs that are proven to make a positive difference, and who demonstrates exceptional leadership in advancing health equity and positive outcomes for people in the communities we serve. “The work of both First Lady Shapiro and Second Lady Davis aligns with the mission of MFHS and we are grateful for their leadership and tireless work to improve the health and wellbeing of women across the Commonwealth” said Maria Montoro Edwards, PhD, MFHS President and CEO.
