Dr. Jumee Barooah, senior vice president of education and designated institutional official (DIO) at The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education, was appointed to the National Association of Designated Institutional Officials’ (NADIO) Graduate Medical Education Program Requirement Review Committee.

The committee focuses on analyzing and providing feedback on the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education’s (ACGME) proposed revisions to institutional and program requirements. The ACGME oversees the accreditation of residency and fellowship programs in the U.S., including The Wright Center’s programs.

Additionally, Dr. Barooah has been invited to serve on the NADIO Toolbox and Enduring Committee. The committee is dedicated to developing and curating a comprehensive repository of resources, templates, and evergreen administrative tools to support DIOs in managing the complexities of institutional oversight in graduate medical education. By focusing on enduring materials, the committee ensures that leadership across the nation can access standardized, high-quality resources to maintain accreditation excellence and streamline administrative workflows.

Since its creation in 2023, NADIO has become an important resource for education, collaboration, and advocacy for DIOs. Through shared learning, timely resources, and peer connection, NADIO has helped foster a strong and supportive community of DIOs across institutions.
