Meet Young Professionals Conference Speakers Rachel Wiernusz, Bryce Houdeshel, & Alison E. Zurawski

Rachel Wiernusz has been in banking for almost 20 years and loves helping people through the process of buying, building, or refinancing their dream home. She is especially passionate about working with first time homebuyers and strives to demystify the mortgage process. In the community, she is also involved with volunteering with several local non-profits. She is the 2021 recipient of the GWV Chamber Young Professional Women’s Leadership Award by Athena International and the Junior League of Wilkes-Barre 2021 Shining Star Award Recipient. She was named as one of the NEPA Business Journal’s Top 25 Women in Business for 2022.

Rachel is a Penn State Alumna and proudly serves her alma mater on the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Advisory Board. She is also a graduate and board member of Leadership Wilkes-Barre and she credits Leadership Wilkes-Barre for spring boarding her love for being involved in our community.

Bryce is a Financial Consultant with Community Investment Services and OneGroup Retirement Advisors. He has been in the financial services industry since 2013. During his career, he has spent time in the insurance and retail banking sectors to gain valuable knowledge for assisting individuals and families with their financial needs. Bryce works closely with his clients to take a holistic financial view and develop strategies that will guide them toward their investment and retirement goals. Bryce earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Misericordia University in Pennsylvania. He holds FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 with LPL Financial and the Pennsylvania Life and Health Insurance License.

Alison Zurawski is the Community Relations Manager for Community Bank, and has been with the bank for over 20 years. She is responsible for supporting all 24 Community Bank Pennsylvania branches in the coordination of internal and external initiatives. She also develops community and social outreach activities while promoting the bank within the six counties in which they serve. Outside of the office, Ali is an active leader in her community. She is currently a board member for the Back Mountain Chamber, Northeast Sight Services, Family Service Association of NEPA and Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center. Ali also volunteers for numerous not for profit organizations helping raise over $1.5MM for organizations in need.

About their session on the topic of personal finance:

This session will provide a holistic, multi-faceted approach to finance. Bryce Houdeshel will discuss common retirement based questions such as ''ideas on what to do with a 401k from a previous employer'' and other general retirement savings tips. Rachel Wiernusz will discuss mortgage lending and tips on upgrading to next home and first time homebuyer information, and Alison Zurawski will discuss how being involved has a greatly positive impact on many lines of business.
