A: I have had many mentors and leaders who inspired me throughout my career and life. When I relocated back to Pennsylvania after having lived and worked in many different places, one of my goals was to become passionately involved with the community to help inspire others to pay forward countless generosities that were given to me. Also, I want to be a change agent to move our community forward culturally and economically.

Q: I am most excited to accomplish what through my diversity, equity, and inclusion community work…
A: I am most excited to help inspire the next generations of young leaders and help bring our community together through better awareness of how people of diverse backgrounds may feel or experience situations from a difference perspective.

Q: Three words to describe yourself…
A: Independent, Strategic and Solutions-oriented

Q: My greatest achievement to date is…
A: I once pitched a new business idea to the CEO and Chairman of one of the top US financial companies and was given approval on the spot and $5 million dollars to start a venture company within the firm.

Q: Five years from now, I will be…
A: Still here in Wilkes-Barre enjoying my work, clients, community services, and balance of life.

Q: Best advice you’ve received…
A: The best advice I received was early in my career, when a top female executive told me to stop squeaking like a mouse and use a firm handshake.  The advice countered my Asian cultural upbringing and brought me to silent teats, but she also made me feel I had no ceilings.

Q: Favorite activity in NEPA…
A: My husband and I adopted a beautiful new puppy within the last year and we love hiking in the Bear Creek Preserve.  It's become our favorite place and activity.
